OF MANY COLORS: COATS AND QUILTS

A VETERAN’S DAY ART EVENT…
JOIN US for a special art event to honor Veterans on Veteran’s Day.
Coats: Jessika Satori is a Tacoma artist, educator, and author. She will be displaying her wearable art coats influenced by her mother, a World War II Veteran, who was stationed in India. On display will be the original coat from the 1940’s as well as other unique and colorful coats. (https://jessikasatori.com)
Quilts: American Hero Quilts was founded by Vashon Islander Sue Nebeker. She has sent more than 31,000 quilts, made by volunteers, to service men and women world-wide, including Afghanistan and Iraq. Sue believes that a quilt is a metaphorical hug and a way to express gratitude for their service. (https://americanheroquilts.com)
